BREWING ADVICE

Peak flavor is typically reached between 2 and 6 weeks post-roast, when the coffee has fully opened up and its sweetness, clarity, and complexity are at their best.

All Moja coffees are roasted light to highlight their natural sweetness, clarity, and character. They can be brewed using any method depending on your preference, though we recommend brewing this coffee as Filter / Pour Over for the best expression of its profile.

SHIPPING

Orders are roasted on Sundays and shipped on Mondays. Once shipped, delivery takes up to 3 business days.

more about the coffee

the producerS

This lot comes from Finca Experimental in Planadas, Tolima, a farm that thrives on experimentation and collaboration.
Erika Yaguara carefully cultivated the Yellow Bourbon cherries, balancing her time between teaching and managing the farm. Once harvested, the coffee was handed to Jorge Rojas, who oversaw the meticulous post-harvest processing. Jorge has worked in coffee since the age of 12 and has built a reputation for precision and innovation in fermentation and drying methods.

Together, Erika and Jorge combine care, knowledge, and curiosity, producing coffees that showcase Colombia’s diversity and the depth that dedicated craftsmanship can achieve.

the coffee

This lot features the Yellow Bourbon variety, known for its natural sweetness, silky texture, and vibrant acidity. It underwent a 72-hour anaerobic washed process, 36 hours in cherry followed by 36 hours in mucilage before being fully washed and dried on raised beds.

The result is a coffee that retains the clarity and brightness of a classic washed profile, while developing deeper sweetness and subtle floral complexity through carefully controlled fermentation.

great coffee has its costs
  • FARMGATE - 13.55 USD/kg What the farmer was paid directly for this coffee.

  • FOB - 24.25 USD/kg Processing, drying, milling, transport, export logistics.

  • FOT - 35.12 USD/kg International shipping, customs, import handling.

The price of coffee is influenced by many factors and the supply chain is complex. From farm to cup, costs are added at every stage: farming, selective harvesting, sorting, processing, drying, milling, storage, transport, roasting, and quality control. The above breakdown is a first step in the right direction to make that process more transparent to the consumer. It shows that the cost of high quality coffee reflects real work, real logistics, and real risks taken along the way.
